When to call Charles

The Sky Jack system is built for that gap between “a nice deck” and “a true outdoor room,” and a matching deck beneath it is what makes the whole thing hold together.
The deck framing is the part where two sets of hands save a day. Brad is on the crew for that — carrying beams, holding joists square while I fasten them off, and keeping the layout honest when the corners want to drift. Two of us on the frame means the lumber moves once, not twice, and the deck lands square to the pergola footprint on the first try.
If the job has grown past a single craft — a multi-level deck that needs engineered drawings, a pergola tied into a roof structure, or a slab that needs to come out first — I’ll tell you on the walk and quote the bigger build separately. Otherwise, expect one visit for the survey, one for the system and deck, materials matched to the footprint, and a left-behind surface you can stain or seal on your own schedule.
Typical timing and materials
Most pergola-and-deck installs wrap inside a week.
A survey walk, a footprint and finish confirmation, then two to four working days on site depending on deck size, drainage run, and the agreed footprint. Charles sources the Sky Jack Pergola system, deck lumber, footings, and drainage to that footprint; you approve the figure at the survey so there are no surprises on materials. Decks are left sanded and brightened — Charles does not paint, stain, or seal by default, so the finish step stays on your timeline.
